You might want to take a look at this video put out by Barry Schwartz of http://www.SERoundtable.com/. He does this video series once a week and covers a lot of heavy topics in an in-depth way.
This week he discusses a new Google / Yahoo deal you should be aware of, some big drops in Google rankings for some sites and a bunch of other interesting topics.
Check it out, I think you’ll find it informative:
As Sage says, “It’s a Yahoo! and videos week.” CBS and Yahoo! reach a deal for web video sharing, and Yahoo! becomes the exclusive portal to resell display advertising for Walmart.com. Youtube ads the option of interactive Video Annotations, allowing you to add commentary, background and link to other stories and videos. Youtube also ads apology center and underwear fitness to its list of attributes. A judge ordered teens to post a public apology on Youtube after their videoed pranks got them in trouble, and the Wii Fit girl, Lauren Bernat, demonstrates her skills while in her gutchies! Google even seems to be on the video bandwagon this week with the addition of an offline-to-online reporting feature in AdWords for its TV Campaigns reporting.
Vanessa Zamora reports on a couple interesting pieces of news.
She talks about the impressive paid search growth of Google and the faltering growth of MSN and Yahoo.
Also, she reports on Comscore getting their site hacked by hijacking the registration at Network Solutions.
