With Google Music Search, Finding your Favorite Musical Artists, Song, Album or Band Just Got Easier
Since the early days of the Internet, searching for music has been one of the most popular online activities. With the arrival of Napster in 1999, music file sharing reached an all time high as Internet users could find any song they wanted for free. Even though Napster was shut down in July of 2001, music file sharing continued to progress with the invention of iTunes, the iPod, social media and Pandora. As music file sharing continues to grow in popularity, Google is taking hold of the phenomenon with its search engine.
With its search engine, Google is now allowing Internet users the ability to find information on musical artists, their songs and any other relevant information. Google users can simply type the name of an artist, a song, albums, bands, or even a song lyric within the search engine and instantly get access to songs and information on the search engine results page (also known as a SERP). Songs instantly appear at the very top of the SERP and Internet users can simply click to hear what they are looking for.
With this technology, Google has made it possible to find any musical artist or band from around the world. With the service based off using a search engine, music lovers can search for any music they want at no cost.
