Setting goals with Google Analytics just got easier as one the popular online tools will now allow business owners to set as many as 20 business goals for a web-site. Before the change was made, users of Google Analytics could only set four goals at a time and would have to make multiple profiles to go beyond that number. With the improvement, setting up multiple profiles can still be done, however, it is not necessary to set all of your goals.
In addition to allowing business owners the capability to set more goals, Google Anayltics also launched Traakboard, which is a desktop application for analysts to pull information from different Google Analytics profiles and logins. The application can be used for multiple accounts and profiles and has a report widget. The report widget can be programmed to fetch data at certain times of the day, week or month, which reduces time in getting important data.
Analytics Intelligence was also added to allow users and analysts to find specific data in a more timely fashion. Instead of having to go through piles and piles of information, analysts can search specifically for the information they will need to make a strategic decision. Analytics Intelligence also monitors web-site traffic on a 24/7 basis and will add any important or significant changes in the Intelligence Reports. Any significant changes will have an alert for the business owner and can be accessed daily, weekly or even monthly.
Since its launch a few years ago, Google Analytics has helped business owners track important web-site visitor information. The online tool tracks visitors coming from search engines, pay-per-click advertising, display ads, PDF documents and other forms of online marketing. The tool has also been useful for developing reports and alerting users of significant changes in data.
