The Sausage Manifesto

I thought we would take a look back on a past favorite! Look for SES New York interviews starting tomorrow!

The title of this references the quote: “People who enjoy eating sausage and obeying the law shouldn’t watch either being made.” Jeff Rohrs applied it to search with his quote: “Advertisers who enjoy leads from pay-per-click ads shouldn’t ask how the clicks are made.”

He asks, “Don’t advertisers usually have a right to know where their ads are running and at what cost up front?” He poses 11 straight-forward requests directly to the search engines to make paid search more open and valuable to the advertiser.
