Believe it or not, I’ve been putting out these videos here at WebMarketingWatch.com for a full year. Today I look at some of the things people have said to me over this year in response to these videos.
Last week I received a link request email that was directly out of 2001. I was so shocked by the way it was requested of me and of where my link was going to be located that I simply had to give them the link. Here you go Sword Of Melody, here’s your link. This link request is so wrong it’s embarrassing. Watch this video to learn what not to do.
For anyone else that wants a link from me, you should know that I give people and businesses links all the time. I love pointing people to cool places and resources. Just be a human about it. Give me something interesting to link to and not only will I give you a link I might just do a video about it too.
Next to the day after Thanksgiving, the day after Christmas is my favorite day to shop. It’s a mass exodus of Christmas goodies. And that just means more sales for me! However, that exposes a fatal flaw in the offline shopping experience. Check out why I think this opens a huge opportunity for the niche online retailers.
The initial numbers are in from MasterCard. Check out what they had to say about the overall Christmas season and the online Christmas season in particular.
My wife, a.k.a. business partner Rocky, is a great cook. Check out these super yummy peanut butter and oatmeal cookie bars. They are totally delicious. However, they do seem to cause a little extra gas build up.
Here are the ingredients:
Oatmeal - 6 cups
Brown Sugar 1 1/2 cups
White Sugar - 3/4 cups
Butter - 1 1/2 sticks
Peanut Butter - 1 1/2 cups
Eggs - 3
M&M’s - Wing it.
Hershey Kisses - About half a bag.
I doubt there will be a video tomorrow on Christmas Day. I hope you have a beautiful Christmas Day. I love you all!
P.S. You might ask, “What does your fart bar recipe have to do with web marketing, Sage?” The most important aspect of the social online scene is to never forget the “social” part. This realm isn’t about shoving your brand down people’s throats. It’s about caring and connecting with them. So there you go: Fart Bars. You’re going to love them. I know I did.
