1. You don't believe in it at its core. 2. You only want to do it to make more money. 3. You don't update the web site you have. 4. You are a consultant or in the middle of an organization and no one else cares. It needs to be pushed from the top. 5. There is no one that can spend time cultivating it and being an active member.

1. It's too expensive... get a free blog at blogger.com or get a myspace account. 2. People hate you... you need it more than anyone. 3. People only buy from me once. 4. I have nothing people would want to read about or participate in. 5. My customers don't use the web for my product.
